Accor, a global leader in the hospitality industry, has recently inked a deal with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels to launch three new hotels in Singapore. The two new-build properties, set to open by 2027, will be located at Hoe Chiang Road and Waterloo Street.

The Hoe Chiang Road property will house the 808-room Mövenpick Singapore, making it the largest Mövenpick hotel in the Asia Pacific region. It will also feature Mövenpick Living Singapore, a 37-room accommodation specially designed for extended stays. On the other hand, the Waterloo Street property will be home to a new hotel under the Handwritten Collection Brand, offering 502 rooms. This will be the second property under this brand in Singapore, following the launch of Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection in late 2023.

“This agreement not only showcases the high demand for Accor’s brands among owners and investors, but it also highlights our commitment to leading the growth and elevating the hospitality industry in Asia,” says Garth Simmons, COO of Accor’s premium, midscale, and economy division in Asia.

The signings for these three new hotels mark another milestone in Accor’s longstanding partnership with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels, both owned by Koh Wee Meng, chairman of Fragrance Group. The partnership currently manages 17 hotels in Singapore, five in Australia, and three in the UK, all under popular brands such as MGallery, Mövenpick, Novotel, Mercure, Handwritten Collection, ibis Styles, and ibis Budget.

“We are excited about these new additions to our portfolio, which will allow us to continue offering enriching experiences to our guests and further diversify our hospitality offerings in Singapore,” adds Koh from Fragrance Group.
