Singapore Ranked Sixth Top City Brand World Brand Finance Global City Index
Singapore has made a strong showing in the latest Brand Finance Global City Index, emerging as the sixth-highest city in the world in terms of branding. The index, released by London-based brand evaluation and strategy consultancy Brand Finance, assesses cities based on their brand power and perceptions.
The latest index was compiled through a worldwide survey of 15,000 individuals from 20 countries in September. The respondents ranked 100 cities based on key performance indicators that measure the city’s appeal as a place to live, work, study, visit, retire, and invest in.
In addition, participants were asked to associate specific attributes with each city, choosing from a list of 45 attributes grouped under seven pillars, including Business & Investment and Culture & Heritage.
Singapore’s strong overall ranking was largely driven by its performance in the business and investment pillar, where it placed third globally. This is a testament to the city’s ease of doing business, strong economy, and supportive environment for start-ups. Singapore also received high marks for its low crime and violence.

Globally, London maintained its top position as the world’s leading city brand, followed by New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Dubai. With its strong showing in the Brand Finance Global City Index, Singapore has once again proven its status as a highly attractive and well-regarded city on the global stage.
