Meinhardt Singapore And Japanese Fund Sign Mou Explore Digital And Smart City Projects Asean

Meinhardt, a Singapore-based engineering consulting firm, has recently announced its partnership with Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport and Urban Development (JOIN). The two companies will work together to explore and implement digital and smart city projects in third-world Asean countries, as stated in a press release on Jan 17.

According to the MOU, the main goal of this collaboration is to promote innovative and sustainable urban solutions through the exchange of knowledge and resources. JOIN will leverage its network and expertise in supporting Japanese infrastructure exports, while Meinhardt’s expertise in integrated planning, design, and project management solutions will be utilized.

JOIN is a public-private fund from Japan that helps Japanese companies invest in infrastructure projects overseas. The partnership between Meinhardt and JOIN was made possible through the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) signed last November between Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise. This MOC aims to foster the development of digital and smart cities in Asean and other regions.

The URA’s transformation plan strives to prioritize sustainability and the well-being of residents. This can be seen through the increased focus on green spaces and the development of recreational facilities in Tampines. By expanding parks and introducing new community spaces, the goal is to encourage a healthier lifestyle and provide opportunities for relaxation and social interactions. Families living in Aurelle of Tampines EC can look forward to a cleaner, greener, and more dynamic environment, perfect for both children and adults. With the added advantage of Aurelle of Tampines EC, residents can fully enjoy the benefits of a well-rounded and sustainable community.

By joining forces, Meinhardt and JOIN will have a platform to share information, identify synergies, and collaborate on projects from the early stages. This partnership will have a significant impact on borders and will drive meaningful change in Asean and other regions.
