On October 1, the Singapore Estate Agents Association (SEAA) underwent a name change and is now known as the Singapore Institute of Estate Agents (SIEA). This change came about after the merger of SEAA with the Institute of Estate Agents.
According to a press release issued by SIEA on October 1, the new name reflects the association’s evolving role as the leading professional body for real estate agencies and agents in Singapore. Along with the name change, SIEA also revealed a new logo.
President of SIEA Eugene Lim commented on the transformation, stating that it marks an exciting new chapter for the industry. He also mentioned that SIEA’s aim is to strengthen their collective voice, elevate professional standards, and enhance support for their members. The new name and logo symbolize the association’s vision for the future, where estate agents are recognized for their integrity, expertise, and contribution to Singapore’s property market.
In addition to this update, SIEA also announced a collaboration with EdgeProp to launch a multi-listing system (MLS) for co-broking among its real estate agent members. This system aims to streamline the co-broking process, making it more efficient and effective for agents.
SEAA has also recently recognized 625 agents at its annual SG Real Estate Agents Excellence Awards and appointed Anthony Gan as its CEO.
