Colliers Appoints Alex Worthington Director Asia Pacific Capital Markets

The Asia Pacific arm of Colliers has added two new members to its leadership team. Alex Worthington has been appointed as the director of Asia Pacific capital markets, key client account management, and investor intelligence while Akira Kuno will step into the role of deputy managing director & co-head of capital markets in Japan. These appointments aim to drive multi-service revenue growth and deepen Colliers’ relationships with its institutional investors in the Apac region.

Worthington will report to Chris Pilgrim, Colliers’ managing director of global capital markets for Apac. His primary responsibility will be to lead and enhance key account management for the region’s largest institutional investors. According to Pilgrim, Worthington’s expertise and experience in the industry will enable the capital markets team to continue to strengthen their relationships across Apac.

Prior to joining Colliers, Worthington worked as a client relations specialist at technology consulting firm Palo IT. He also has eight years of experience at JLL Singapore. On the other hand, Kuno brings with him 34 years of experience in Japan’s real estate and financial industries. He has a successful track record of real estate investment transactions totaling over JPY1 trillion ($8.65 billion), according to Colliers.

In his new role, Kuno will work closely with Yukihiro Ogasawara, Colliers’ managing director and chairman of Japan, to drive the company’s capital markets business in the country. Ogasawara believes that Kuno’s leadership, extensive market knowledge, and enterprising spirit will support clients in achieving their investment goals and contributing to Colliers’ growth strategy in the years to come.

The appointments of Worthington and Kuno are part of Colliers’ strategy to further strengthen its presence in the Apac region and Japan. With their significant experience and expertise, they will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and facilitating deep relationships with institutional investors.
