Michael Tay Appointed Cbre Deputy Managing Director Singapore Advisory
CBRE, a global real estate services firm, recently announced the appointment of Michael Tay as the deputy managing director of Singapore Advisory effective Jan 1, 2025. Tay currently serves as the head of capital markets for Singapore and will continue to report to Moray Armstrong, the managing director of Singapore Advisory.

The role of deputy managing director is a newly created position that will focus on long-term leadership and planning for the Singapore advisory business. Tay will work closely with Armstrong to develop and execute strategies, evaluate investment opportunities including mergers and acquisitions, and drive business growth.
Armstrong expressed his confidence in Tay, stating that with over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, he is one of the most knowledgeable and forward-thinking professionals in the Singapore market. Armstrong also highlighted Tay’s progression within the company, starting in office leasing and eventually taking on leadership roles in office services and capital markets.
Tay first joined CBRE in 2000, spending almost two decades in the office services team where he worked with prominent office building owners and occupiers. In 2019, he assumed the role of leading the Singapore capital markets team, which played a significant role in various notable investment deals in the country, including the sale of One George Street, 16 Collyer Quay, and VisionCrest Commercial.
